Deyci Carrillo Lopez

Sr. Paralegal

As a Sr. Paralegal at Centro Legal, Deyci provides assistance to the attorneys on the team and primarily assists cases of Franco-Gonzalez clients to protect and advance the rights of detained immigrants through representation, advocacy and education. Deyci participates in monthly visits to the Mesa Verde Detention facility where the team provides in-person legal services to detainees at the facility.  

Prior to working at Centro Legal de la Raza, Deyci worked on mapping and advancing the immigration committee at AFSCME Local 3299, the largest Union of University of California Workers. She also interned as a Legislative Intern in the Office of Senator Kamala Harris (CA) in Washington, D.C. A recent graduate of U.C. Santa Cruz, Deyci also helped establish a local chapter of IGNITE National, an organization that trains young women to run for political office.
